Unpluq Family for Android
Follow the following steps to set up Unpluq Family or Parental Controls on Unpluq for Android
- Sign in with your account on your child's device, and accept all permissions during set up (this is important to ensure Unpluq can run in the background and keep blocking apps)
- For Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, Xiaomi, Redmi and Vivo devices only: To make sure Unpluq is not interrupted by your phone's existing settings, follow the battery optimization instructions here before continuing to the next step
- Choose which apps to block for your child by creating a schedule (or several schedules). In the schedule, you indicate when the apps should be blocked. Hint: You may want one schedule that is 24/7, and another that allows access during a certain time of a day to certain apps, or on certain days.
- ⚠️ Important: Did you create your account with Google Single-Sign-On or have you forgotten your Unpluq password? Reset your password through this link (you will need it for the administration of Unpluq Family)
- ⚠️ Important: If you use Google Password Manager and your Unpluq account password is saved there, remove it so that it cannot be automatically filled by a child. To remove the password from Google Password Manager:
-
- Open Google Chrome
- Click the three-dot icon in the top right corner and click “Settings”
- Click “Password Manager” and click the search icon in the top
- Search for “unpluq.com” and click on the password entry that is linked to your Unpluq account email
- In the top right corner, click the “Delete” icon and click “Delete password” in the popup that opens
- 6. Open the Unpluq app and navigate to More > Advanced Settings. Next:
- Prevent Unpluq from being Uninstalled: enable “Block uninstall & forced quit."
-
Tap “Activate this device admin app” in the window that opens
Enable “Parental Control” - Your Unpluq Family setup (parental control) is now complete.
